Sam is the Founder of Governale Hospitality Group, a full-service hospitality consulting firm. He is also the Executive Officer of DOCG Interests, a Houston restaurant group that he founded in 2016. A seasoned veteran of the hospitality industry, Sam has cultivated a diverse skill set, including interior design, having worked with elite restaurants such as Babbo with Chef Mario Batali; 13 Barrow St with Chef John Tesar; Mirezi with Chef Anita Lo; and overseeing the development of numerous wine programs across the country as a top-tier sommelier.
From concept to grand opening, Sam has played a pivotal role in designing and launching many restaurants throughout Houston, including Turner’s, Café Annie, Trattoria Sofia, Anabelle Brasserie and Emmaline. His expertise in interior design has been integral to creating inviting and memorable dining spaces that resonate with patrons.
